Salam Aidilfitri 1435H

A Cynical Promise

Yesterday, after the Subuh prayer, the imām gave a short talk about Nuzul Quran, an annual event in the Islamic calendar marking the symbolic of the completion of Revelations to Prophet Muhammad PBUH.

The talk was surprisingly good and successfully knocking my brain to process the input and to ponder the points elaborated by the imām. He touches majorly on how to get the most from Ramadan, to gain the maximum benefits from this blessed month.

However, I thought the most revealing point yesterday was when the imām reminded us about our du’a to ALLAH upon reaching the month of Rajab and Sha'ban: Allahumma bariklana fi Rajab wa Sha'ban waballighna Ramadan means "... and let us reach the month of Ramadan", and to this moment, did we utilized every single second of Ramadan by doing good and making improvement to ourselves?

The imām says ALLAH would look at us cynically if we wouldn’t able to fulfill our promises before Ramadan by letting the month goes without significant…

Bahana Orang Tua Eksklusif

What I Learnt So Far

Today we are already entering the second half of Ramadan, which means only about 15 days are remaining to fast and to indulge the month of blessing and mercifulness of The One. The last two weeks taught me a lot of things, especially on rethinking my journey ahead, which is seemingly blurring and uncertain.

Maybe it is not that bad as I thought; however, I believe as a human being to keep revisit our life planning is something certainly need to do, often to say the least.

And so the Ramadan is coming, for the last two weeks what I always ask in every prayer was the guidance to walk and to live the life. At some moments, it majorly frustrated to recall what I have gone through in life and failed miserably to achieve the end accordingly as it should be.

Yet, GOD is fair. He didn't give us the thing we think the best for ourselves; instead, He grants us the thing that nicely fit ourselves. This I thought was happening to me right now.

I believe this is the reason why ALLAH grant us a…

Surat Untuk Masa Depan Masa Kita!

Biarkan Anak Kecil Itu Berlari

Can We Replay?

"Could they rematch?"

That is the exactly what I thought after Kroos was putting the 4th goal into the net for Germany in the match yesterday. Sometimes the football was too cruel to you. Brazil went on the pitch without their main inspiration, Neymar and their captain marvel Silva.

Thus, the result told us everything about football. The game is not only about the skills and tactics, it undoubtedly keen for leadership and motivation. Yes, leadership. Brazil got everything but leadership.

The commentator says the game was disheartening. It was a Black Day for football, too lost in a shameful margin in the big occasion like World Cup was something unimaginable could ever happen.

For instance, I never am a fan of Brazil. However, the goal scoreboard seems too much to compromise. I am sure I was not alone felt the bitterness of the outcome. It is simply because as a football fan, what you expected is the gameplay was entertaining, competitive and challenging.

The Brazil outmatch…

Undeserving Lost

There are two losses in two weeks.

The first, I utterly convinced it was undeserving lost by Belgium and got knocked-out from the World Cup after got beaten by Argentina. For the record, I should say, Argentina never gave a real threat to Belgium throughout the game except the Higuain’s strike hitting the bar post.

However, that’s the game. That’s football. They put you in for full 90-minutes before turning back the ridiculous outcome. Since it does so, me right now hoping the Dutch doing it well and reaching their hand on the glorious cup next week.

Hell yeah, beat the crap out of Brazil!

The second lost, as it was supposedly entitled as undeserving, too, is the loss of humanity. It happened here in Malaysia. It happened here right at the moment the blissful Ramadan started.

It happened here when an arrogant, privileged politician chooses to spark the war against homeless and marginalised.

It was a lost to humanity. As well as we knew the Ramadan promised everything about the remembr…

Unbelievable Belgium!

Yes, for the many parts of the Last 16, the match between Belgium and USA majorly entitled as the most exciting gameplay ever during the 2014 World Cup.

The unbelievable, actually I am echoing the commentator said after the game, referring to the gameplay by both teams.

However, to put it mildly, Belgium proved why they deserved to rank to Quarterfinal stage next coming Sunday. From my limited observations, I offer some of the key changing that affected the way of the Belgium play against the USA.

The first, credit should go to Mirallas for his excellent second half of the game, exploiting the slow-pace of left back of the USA, of which part of the reason why they lost position with both goals scored by Belgium in extra time.

The Coach Marc’s decision to introduce Lukaku as a sub in extra time was a sagacious move.

Despite having goals tally in the friendly match before the World Cup, Lukaku failed miserably to make impacts to the team throughout the games before. Origi seems impressi…
