Today, I Have Been Robbed at Brasil

Today, I have been robbed. My phone and all the money was taken away by someone bastard at Santa Teresa. I have decided to go to Santa Teresa after having a visit at Christ Redeemer Statue at Corcovado.

I read about how nice Santa Teresa with neighborhood filled with cute little houses in the traditional Portuguese post-colonial style. I know I travel alone, and maybe this is a price I should pay for that.

That bastard doesn't only take away my phone and all my money, but he also ruins all my day. I should go to Lapa and hunting some souvenir for my friends in Malaysia, then walking through Flamengo and going to Sugar Loaf to indulge sunset there before return back to Ipanema. But now?

Yes, I am really upset. Its shocked for the first time being robbed in the foreign land. Some of my friends here remind me about Santa Teresa. It's a rural area and not so recommended to go there alone.

But I think to go back to Malaysia without having a better understanding of Brazilian society is the real shame. So I made my mind go there whatever it takes.

Honestly, I don't care he takes my phone and all my money. What I care is hundreds of my pictures in there!

He just robs all my memory in Brasil. He robs my memory with Frank from Norway at Christ Redeemer. He robs my memory with the Russian family at Corcovado.

He robs my memory with Kavan - a little boy I met at Santa Teresa just before being robbed. I take a picture with him. He shares his food with me. Yeah, that's the only picture I have with Kavan. And now I lost it.

You are a really bastard man. You just rob everything!

I don't know how to pay for the kindness of some guys that try to chase that bastard. Some villagers there give some money for me to go back to Ipanema. Thanks a lot. Thanks to Lidia, Dayane and Sarinh.

Thanks to some aunties and uncles there. I don't know their name but for sure my prayer goes for you guys forever.

And Uncle Ruimedeirus, do I need to pay back your R$ 20?

And special thanks to my friends Rodrigo Paixão and Daniela Saback for the camera and kind advice. For that, I'm sure will give a fruity recommendation for your apartment in Airbnb.com!
